Pseudotsuga menziesii 'Graceful Grace' photo gallery

dcsteg(5 Shawnee, KS.)July 12, 2011

A compact evergreen conifer with a weeping habit. Lush, glossy needles are deep green with a bluish cast. Discovered by Albert Ziegler in the 1960's and named after his wife, Grace. Prefers full sun in well-drained soil. If staked, 7' tall x 4' wide in 10 years. Hardy to -30 degrees. USDA zone 4.

A B&B from Iseli on its 2nd year in my garden. Trouble free.

A couple specimens of mine, a bit more established then Dave's and growing in their optimum environment. It will be interesting to note the growth rate over the years compared to specimens in other climates.

Dave, your pictures are always interesting.

In that first picture what is the taller blue conifer behind and to the right of the Pseudotsuga menziesii?

Dave, that's an exelent specimen!

Will, it looks like the 2 pics doesn't show us the same cultivar.
The second one looks the same as Dave's, but the first one is more blue and could be the 'Glauca Pendula'...
