I received this Hemlock in a trade a couple of years ago. No ID.
It has white tips and is still in a pot.
Do you use facebook? Their is a group called Planet Conifer. That's where Edwin and a lot of the others that used to be on gardenweb hang out now. He would probably be the best to identify this one. If you don't do facebook, I could post it on there for you and get an answer
I did Facebook for awhile until my account was hacked. I'm a little leery now of doing Facebook under my new addy.
Thank you. Yes, go ahead.
i am not a lemming.. i dont need FB ...
i have one similar [though your form looks wild??] ...... but will have to go check the tag.. later this morn ... maybe summer snow.. or some such????
Tsuga canadensis 'Gentsch White' or Alba Spica
or Alba Spica
Looks like I have 'Alba Spica'.
Thank you very much.
Glad I could help.
Mine did great for about 10years getting about 8-10'.
Then one spring it just gave up!
this was a few years in
Facebook was split 50/50 between:
Tsuga canadensis 'Albospica'
Tsuga canadensis 'Summer Snow'
8 people liked your photo too! Nice background on the shot. Mike, just create a shell facebook account with minimal info so you can join in on the Conifer stuff. It's too quite around here these days... I need to go to facebook for my conifer fix.
Ken, don't worry about being a lemming! Facebook isn't even cool anymore, all the kids are rejecting it these days anyways...

It's a fun hobby with plenty to learn and plenty of exercise to keep me in shape during my retirement years.
