Greenhouse Irrigation

thirsty_dirt_77(3a)February 6, 2014

This year we're thinking of adding a low flow/drip irrigation system to the greenhouse; we're looking at the systems Lee Valley has.

I would like to do something that is gravity fed as the greenhouse doesn't have power and is fairly far away from any source of power. (The husband doesn't really want a gravity fed system but I don't want the hassle of messing with extension cords or generators every day, I might as well hand water then because it would probably be faster in the end.)

Does anybody have a gravity fed system for their greenhouse? or another system? What works for you?

Thirsty, How many plants are you looking to water and how much water per plant do you plan to use? I have made a couple of gravity fed systems and can maybe offer some advice.
