AHH! Which fig tree...need one more...
I just bought a black mission fig and am debating about my next one. I'm in Los Angeles, and am putting them in big barrels. Ideally I'd like something different (or different enough) from the black mission....though that said, I also want great taste. Here are my choices:
1. Violette de Bordeaux (have read great things about the taste, but is it different enough from the mission? I know it would be ideal in the container)
2. Peter's Honey Fig
3. White Kadota (read that this has tough skin...?)
4. White Genoa
5. or a Panache Tiger (this is the one I really wanted, but we can't get it 15 gallon - only 5 - so I'm thinking I might get a different one just to really get the figs going and then do this one next year...unless it's the most highly recommended.)
