What's the name of this flower?

rmcandlelightNovember 7, 2011

This plant grows tall with lots of flowers and leaves. The flowers are deep burgundy and the leaves has 5 jagged pointed petals. It looks like a single petal rose.

Can this plant be propagated? If so, do I root it in water? Please help.

No way to tell without a picture. Lots of plants fit that description. Could be a Hibiscus radiatus. Look it up and see. If it is, it should put out seeds.
