Performing a search - Whoops Missing File

kioni(3)April 3, 2009

I've come across this before, but I'll do a search and come up with a page of possibilities, but when I try to enter a thread I receive the message that 'Whoops, that file is missing'.

A method that works (and you all might know this, it may just be me being slow to learn!) but if you place your cursor in the address bar at the top and remove the number 2 that is directly following the word 'forums', then 'enter' or the green 'go' arrow to the right of the address bar, that thread will open up. Yippee? *I hope I described this well enough!*

Hope that helps someone, I see there are some new 'handles' on this forum.

That is a pretty cool trick kioni.

But right now GW posts at 8:15AM: Oops! Garden gnomes wreaked havoc on our forums overnight and our tech team is working to reverse their mischief. Thanks for your patience and we should have things back to normal soon!

And Brenda can't post because of ads covering the follow up posting area.

Kioni, You are brilliant for posting this. I've been trying to get at older threads. You are not slow to learn but eager to teach

Sundrops a plenty to you, Rita

How on earth did you figure that out?

I can't take credit for being so super intelligent to figure something like that out!

But in trying (in vain) to search something else a few months back I came across a thread with a title complaining of missing files coming up with a search, and someone else kindly mentioned how to get around it.

So this time around, I felt I will place it out there, if no one requires it, then it can float to the bottom of the pile!

I'm always searching at this forum - would hate to be without that capability!

Thanks for the sundrops!

This sure came in handy today - i was searching for Pudge's pictures of her bouquets to show my daughter-in-law, who is interested in doing the same thing. Thanks for the info, Kioni!

I'm getting the "Missing File" error for search results, but I don't have the "2" after the word "forums". Anything else I can try?
