Does Anyone Grow Cote D'Azur Pinks?

nutsaboutflowers(2b/3a)May 19, 2010

I ordered these from Vesey's. I received them a while ago, and when I was talking to them about something else, I mentioned that these had very teensey weensey roots. Much to my surprise, they sent me a replacement bag. They're exactly the same, so I guess they're fine. I've never had them before.

So, how do I plant them? Do I partially bury the "dead looking sticks" or just to the crown? Their website doesn't give any information =:(

I would plant them to the crown and water well and hope for the best.

I might have said this before (if so, sorry) but I never buy bareroot (as opposed to bulbous/rhisomatic) perennials by mail order anymore. Dianthus are super easy to grow from seed.

Ha! Ha!

I didn't even know it was a dianthus........

Well, if they grow, at least I know I'll like them =:)

Thanks!
