Suzi AKA DesertDance Zone 9b

I got mine, and I am trying 3 "proven" methods for propagation. I ordered 3 varietals: Mission, Panachee, and Violet De Bordeaux. They sent me 3 each of Mission, Panachee, and only one stingy little cutting of Violet (the one I wanted most)! I cut them all into 3 buds (except for little Violet.. Only 2 for her.

1/3 are in a mini greenhouse in 3 parts Perlite and 1 part peat in Monarch zipset planting bands. They share the little greenhouse with grapes from UC Davis that are already going nuts with bud break, and pomegranates. I think figs and poms take waaay longer than grapes.

1/3 are in the ground in a 1 1/2" deep trench, laid on their sides and covered with loose damp soil.

1/3 are in a baggie wrapped in damp paper towels. In this method, I can see root initials on only one... Panachee. I see the beginning of roots.

Tell us how your cuttings grow!
