I just ate the first ripe fig from this batch. Looks like 90 days til ripe for a young vertein my zone. The fruit was nice but not as sweet as I had hoped. I have a few more that will ripen soon.

I forgot to take pictures of the first few. This one was tasty but could have used another day.

Protect your figs. My tree is 2 years old and about 5' tall, and we tasted many figs, but something got the last ones. I hate when that happens! Probably a coon. Not a bird. They usually peck half, but I got robbed! Every Verte fig is gone!

I have been lucky so far and have kept most of mine. I hope my trees get big enough in a few years to feed me and the animals.
