Someone posted a question in the gallery so i'm putting it in here, seeing as few people seem to visit there anymore.

RE: Her rhubarb is not feeling so good....

Hi, My rhubarb is looking terrible. It's been in the ground for maybe three years. This year the leaves are turning brown, yellow and with some red. Some of them have turned real brown and dried up. If I could figure out how to post a picture, would do that so you can give better advice. Unfortunately there are black walnut trees all around us but they aren't too close. I understand that juglone given off by black walnuts is bad for rhubarb. We live in central NYS. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks, Nancy

I can't offer you help, only empathy. I'm very good at killing rhubarb. Everyone tells me that its easy to grow, but not for me. I've killed every plant I've bought. My sister - in - law suggested putting it in a spot that gets part shade, the full sun may have been too much for it. I've read it likes to be in a weed free environment.

Black Walnut trees are bad for most plants.
