Fig Trees in Zone 9

powrbkr(z7 NY)June 27, 2009

My family recently moved to central Florida (60 miles northwest of Orlando) and I'm interested in planting or potting fig trees. I'm wondering how well fig trees will do in my new area - zone 9.

Thanks for your help.

Being in Zone 9 you can pretty much grow any variety. You might have to worry more about rain and splitting of the figs.
