Bluestone daylilies...how far apart?

redsox_gwJune 19, 2008

I bought 2 of the same daylily from the Bluestone sale. I think they are in 4 inch pots or so. The tag says to plant 20 inches apart. But one of the little pots has 3 small fans in it. Would I plant them all 20 inches apart or group them together since they are small? So, I have 4 fans in all, 1 larger and 3 small.

In general when planting multiple fans, do you face them in the same direction or just wherever they land? I know this is a strange question.

I would plant them all together in one spot. As they grow the fans come up every which way so it doesn't matter how you plant them.
