Just a couple of pics
jaybird, that Champagne Celeste is beautiful and loaded. If it will ripen those this late in the season, that's wonderful. I had never thought of getting one but you might have changed my mind . Thanks for the pictures and good luck with ripening those figs, and if you do please give us an update with pictures of ripe figs and how they taste. Oh, and where did you get your tree?
I purchased both of these figs from a nursery in Crawfordville, Florida called "Just Fruits and Exotics". The have a wonderful selection of all sorts of fruit trees, citrus, figs, peaches, pears, even 3 varieties of apple that grow in Florida! Great website too if you want to check it out. Just search under their name.
They had a good number of figs that were developed over your way at LSU.
I am getting there on my knowledge of citrus, but I am playing serious catch up ball in learning about figs. We have several very old fig trees at our farm and they are wonderful, so I decided to plant some at home.
