Anyone growing this (Amherstia nobilis) Care to share experiences or know of a location for mature trees?? Thanks gary
My experience has been very good........in killing it. âº
I know someone in Broward who said he has a large one in the ground that flowers (and seeds). He said its been in the ground for years. I haven't seen it but that's what he said. My understanding is its cold sensitive and needs protection. There is a nursery in Homestead that $ells small trees. The care is similar to Browneas and Saracas.
Think I've heard of that one . Seem to remeember a post on this forum when it flowered but have been unable to find it. Unable to locate it on any of the Bo gdns inventory ..
Most of the pix I've seen of it are in VERY tropical locations lol
Thanks for the info. Sounds like a plant to avoid ??lol certainly is gorgeous though gary
Fairchild Garden has one in the conservatory that took 8 years to flower under ideal conditions.
