Small figs on new Celeste

jpc57September 26, 2011

I bought 3-gallon Celeste fig tree last week and planted it in the ground (coastal Virginia). It has about a dozen small figs on it but I doubt they will grow and ripen before frost--should I remove these baby figs?

No, keep them as long as you can, because you might be able to save a couple.
If you can protect the plant when the frost hits you might be ok.
