Transplanting Currant Bushes

robert24_gardner(2B)October 24, 2011

I have a 2 year old Black Currant bush I would like to move.

Can it be done this fall and if so has anyone got any information on the proper method.

I have always had better results moving things in late summer when there's still time to reestablish roots before the ground freezes, though most preferably doing any transplanting in early spring.
