With all the interest being shown for mushrooms, I thought you might like to take a look at what we saw on our Sept long weekend mushroom hike. I never saw such variety! If you click on view all images it should take you to the slideshow. At least I hope so!

I don't know anything at all about mushrooms. We only went because it was a gorgeous day and thought a walk in the woods would be enjoyable. This place was near a lake in the Grassy River Provincial Park.
It felt like we were in the land of the fairies. I was stopping to look at a different mushroom every few feet. It was a treat! Apparently it is supposed to be a great place to go in the spring to see the calypso orchids also.
