. With it's fancifully colored blunt-tipped leaves

"variegated cleyera" a very handsome and cheerful plant and is attractive year round. The newest growth is suffused with pink while the more mature foliage is a beautiful shade of blue green, marbled and margined in glowing creamy yellow with brilliant ruby stained petioles.

That's lovely, Margaret. Do you grow it indoors or out?

Hi Marguerite, it's a garden plant here. Very old ones are really large and make good hedges, there's a variegated cleyera hedge not too far from me that has a sweet olive every so often. Pretty and smells wonderful in the winter.
