Does anyone know where one can buy large leaf plants such as darmera, tetrapanex, etc.? Thanks for any help.

I was just at Wells-Medina Nursery (in Medina) and they had a good selection of Darmera peltata, Rodgersia, Petasites, Gunnera, and Astilboides tabularis. I didn't see tetrapanax. That's probably the best selection of big-leafed plants that I've found locally. Also, you might try that tropical plants place that's located near the Pt. Defiance ferry in Tacoma.

The going rate seems to be 30 dollars. Rather pricey and I wonder if someone sells the rarer woodlanders in small sizes for less.
Thank you...

Plant Delights in North Carolina (mail order too) sells the two you mention (www.plantdelights.com). They are rated in the top 20 on the gardendog website.
