Anyone remember mean Mr. McGregor, the farmer in Peter Rabbit?

I read that story when I was a little girl, but now I'm starting to see his point of view.

It's a good thing for the bunnies that they're so cute!

Aw, but little man is so cute ! I'd have to put out a little shelter for him, then I'd plant extra crops right next to his shelter, then a little rambling stream so he could have fresh water, then I'd reinforce my soil a bit to provide nice safe burrows for him and before long my back yard would turn into McGregor's home for wayward wabbits.

So far the little guys have left the veggies alone. Once I actually made a little pile of lettuce for them and they didn't want it. I think they mostly eat weeds or grass which is ok by me. The squirrels however are another story...

We're not into the hot months YET where rabbits are off the plate due to worms, like the deer...just kidding, but I'm with you regarding the squirrels. I hate them but won't kill them, even though I could - just provide LOTS of cherries and water and they'll leave your larger tomatoes alone.
