which japanaise plant ?

My friend is going to Japan and would be happy to bring me some of japanaise seeds. I have no idea what I can ask to get. Some advice would be very appreciated!

Aglaia odorata would be one, that may be limited to chinese only though. Might be able to get some plumeria seeds too.

Japan is in a temperate climate zone. Haven't seen them
in person myself but I hear that they have very special
