Wondering around the yard and saw this lily blooming, with penstemon? and a peach!?, and a clematic pushing out a last bloom! And a yellow foxglove?foxtail, can't remember...
What beautiful surprises!
My October surprise is that the waterlily colchicum that I planted three weeks ago, thinking that I would have to wait until next year to see them, are now up and in bloom!
And I even see tomatoes behind the foxglove!
I had the same thing happen with my foxglove, and I believe it's the same variety: digitalis ambigua. I love mine; it's come back three years now.
Blooms and peaches in October!!! Oh the joys of a warmer climate! Lovely! That clematis is gorgeous.
