Freesia Plant...I think I killed it

craftylady(9)June 11, 2014

I bought a beautiful freesia plant and I hung it in my porch that get lots of indirect light. It was doing beautifully, until the last week when it hit triple digits here. 2 days ago it was 105 and I forgot to go out to water. The next day, although I went to water my plant, I found the leaves are crispy and droopy. I brought it in for two days and drenched it and misted the heck out of the leaves, but it has not changed. Have I killed it? Is there any way to revive it? All the stems are brown and the leaves are all curled up, no amount of water has helped.

Dont worry. It probably just went dormant. The local ones here went dormant last month. In fall~winter, the corms will resprout and bloom again. These dormancy and resprouting time is a little bit different depending on the climate.
