Geraniums in 'Gritty Mix'?

tillygrowerOctober 11, 2013

Anyone have any experience in growing (potted) geraniums in the so-called gritty mix discussed in the Container Garden forum? I intend to to overwinter a few of these plants under lights this winter, and I was wondering if this mix would be a good long-term "soil" for these plants?

It will be fine, as will the regular 5-1-1 mix. Geraniums/pelargoniums are not at all fussy about potting soil as long as it drains relatively well. They even tolerate cheapo packaged potting soil pretty well
