I grew few cestrum nocturnum from seeds.two of them recently bloomed , but there is no fragrance at all.
Please help what can I do, or it will bloom with fragrance next year
ok silly question first you do know this is night scented? second are you sure it is cestrum nocturnum there are a few cestrums not all fragrant do you have a photo?
Yes,first of all I know that cestrum nocturnum is night scented plant and second I know that my plant is cestrum nocturnum. I grew from seed. I will take pic at night time when flowers will be opened.
Here is my centrum nocturnum
I think it needs to have more flowers for the scent to waft. Mine is 6 feet and at night you can't miss the smell from far..
Thank you Radhavall
You sent me a message through gardenweb in a manner that I cannot reply. The question "I am very interested in growing citrus trees . Please let me know would you like to trade cuttings for my cestrum nocturnum(night blooming jasmine) cutting . You can smell fragrance with in few feet
The trees I have are from seed and many years from fruiting maturity. My plants are too small to take cuttings from without damage to the plants.
I wish you luck in finding what you want. Growing from seed is an option. rooting cuttings is exceedingly difficult
I just saw your message poincirusguy, I wanted to let you know I have more than 1 plant from different source , and this question is about the one I grew from seed.
