Atlanta Botanical Gardens

james_ny(z7 NY)February 14, 2006

I was in Atlanta on business and was lucky enough to have time to visit Atl. Botanical Gardens. I could walk around the tropical greenhouses all day. It must be 30 foot high with birds, frogs and a large snapping turtle. The high altitude house has some especia's and kohleria's [probably missed some others]. The orchid house had many orchids with lots of blooms. All houses had many beautiful ponds. Was too cold for most outside plants. It's a wonderful facility, I would recommend to see if your in Atlanta. Admission was about $12.
