ID help please :)

I found this at Walmart, dropping leaves like crazy and looking terrible. It doesn't look much better now, but it's getting new growth since I've been babying it along under a grow light in my living room. I originally thought it might be a Hoya, so I asked over there, but a knowledgeable guy over there said it looked more like a Gesneriad. Here are the pics:

Columnea. It reminds me C. 'Early Bird' - but hard to tell when it is not blooming.

I would eventually try to root the cuttings - they do really good if you take short chunks of the stem, remove the lower leaves and stick them in a very light soil - like AV soil plus half perlite - or 1:1:1 peat, perlite, vermiculite and cover the pot with a bag. It is an amazing trailing plant.
