Effects of colored mulches

Hi Everyone Aussie Max here. Years ago I read a New Scientist article about changes in yield and flavour (Aussie spelling) from differnt colored (coloured) mulches. Red seems to increase tomato yield and disease resistance. Silver has been used with squash. Pen State has done a lot of work on this. Has anyone experimented with colored mulches in relation to fruit size? Cheers Max

I've never heard of that. Were any of those experiments published? I'd be interested to read them.

Please Google for 'Colored mulches in vegetable gardens' and you can read up on the effects of color in mulches on growth of vegetables, see the example in the link, where they use plastic mulches.
