Asking again....

bill_ri_z6b(Zone 6B)February 26, 2013

I posted this question a couple of years ago after a trip to England. I saw Roscoea purpurea "Red Gurkha" at Wisley and I wanted it for my garden. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a source in the USA, nor any growers in the UK who ship to the USA, even though it's fairly easy to buy overseas there. If anyone knows of a source of plants, dormant or otherwise, or even seeds (assuming they come true from seed), I'd appreciate your help.

My guess is that in a few years they will be easier to find here in the US. It's not that none are here. It's that not enough of them are ready to offer for sale.

Thanks Dana, but have already tried eBay but none there. Maybe next time I'm in England I can find someone who can ship to the US. Last time I was there at the Chelsea flower show they were selling Allium bulbs and could ship those.
