First time planting pumpkins, need advice

Hi all,

This is my first time around with pumpkins, I'm a teacher and really want to give one to each student. I bought several varieties, jack-o-lantern, baby boo, Casper (I think that was the name - white outside shaped like a jack-o-lantern), and a few others.

I've read the packages and looked them up in a few books, but I can't find a clear answer on whether or not it is okay to plant them all together in the same area or if they must be separated and if so how far apart so that they don't mix pollen. Sorry I'm such an amateur with pumpkins!

You can plant them together. As long as you're not saving seeds to use next year cross pollination isn't a problem. If you do happen to save seeds you might get great mystery pumpkins next year.
