Dwarf Gardenia's leaves turning white
I moved to GA last fall and have finally started to look at the garden that came with the house. I have some very sorry looking dwarf gardenias, well three look sad, one looks good. The three sad looking ones have not grown tall at all and some of their leaves are turning white, though they're still fleshy. What in the world is this? Is it because the previous owners never kept up the yard so I doubt they've ever been fertilized or is it a disease? I've put some slow release fertilizer for shrubs and trees around them but are wondering what else I can do to help these poor little things, besides from also watering them, another thing I doubt they saw any of before.
