What's Wrong With My Lamium?

westy1941(Boulder County, CO)July 30, 2006

White Nancy and Pink Pewter were gorgeous until last week, then beginning at one end of the four-foot wide solid Lamium bed, it started turning brown - but not dry - looks more like a fungus because the stem part goes brown starting at the tip and then going back toward the ground. We've had rain nearly every day for a month - is that why? Is it dying?

Anyone else?

Mine does this sometimes, it's been in the ground 3 years now and doing great. After the first flower flush it will start to look brown in a few places. Cut it back to about half and it will send out new fresh growth. I think it gets ratty looking and it's not fond of the heat and humidity also. Good luck!
