please tell me what these are

My neighbor sent these home with my grandson and he told me she said they are zucchini. I know the orange and yellow ones are not but the green one is the biggest zucchini I have ever seen. What are they?

Definitely an overgrown zucchini. We have something in the UK called marrows, which are basically the same. Personally I find them watery and tasteless, but lots of British people like them!

The green one is definitely an overage zucchini. The orange one is a ripe straightneck, the yellow one an overage straightneck.

Thanks everyone. I thought they just looked like squash that had been left in the garden too long. Are they worth eating? I mean are they going to be tough or anything?

Truthfully, it's over ripe squash like this that make people think they don't like summer squash. Personally, I don't eat them when they're so overgrown.
