Black mold on dying pumpkin flowers.

acorn922July 31, 2012

I've noticed black mold on female and male flowers once they're done blossoming.

What kind of mold is it?

Is it harmful to pollinated female flowers?

How can I get rid of it?

Thank you.

Blossoms rot away, this is not a problem.

I discovered this in the patch today.
The mold has spread to the pumpkin. Why is this happening?

Thank you.
