New Garden

JJOFJuly 27, 2012

It's all done now. Who would have thought that just a fairly small sized garden would be such hard work!

Close-ups:

After a couple of years I'm sure it will fill in nicely.

Well, maybe lots of work but lots of payoff as it already looks great and will only get better as it fills in. What type of tree is that in the middle of the garden?

Mantis - That coneflower is called Pow Wow Wildberry. Rita has the same one. I bought it because I loved the pictures of hers.

Rita - The tree in the middle of the garden is an Ivory Silk Japanese Lilac.

How many daylilies do you have in there, Jason? Bet that tree is going to be wonderful, just from the name. Avedon

Avedon - I'm not sure how many daylilies I planted for sure. Maybe around 35. The tree has already been there for 3 years and I've always loved it. It's beautiful in early summer with its white blooms.
