Found this in a local landscape and would like to use it...

Looks like Purple Fountain Grass, which is supposed to be a hybrid I believe. Commonly sold in Ohio as an annual, it is NOT winter hardy in Ohio.

I've tried all the purple Pennisetums except 'First Knight.' None have survived my very warm zone 7 climate, but 'First Knight' shows possibilities, so I'll try a few next spring. It's supposedly got the deepest darkest purple foliage, and apparently not grown for blooms.
