Strange Plant-Looks like Tomatillos

Wayne_Georgia(North Georgia)September 21, 2005

I watched a gardening show last night on DIY about growing tomatillos. I started a new garden spot last year and apparently there was weed there that's fruit looks amazingly like a tomatillo in the early stages. I plowed 'em under--BAD MISTAKE...This year I had more than my share. Anybody have any idea what it is? This thing goes CRAZY. If you don't pull and toss,(easy as they are shallow rooted) you have thousands to come back. As bad as red root pigweed.

I think you're right. I didn't know you could eat them. So far I've not let any get ripe. I may try one and see what it tastes like. I'll try to get a positive ID since some may be toxic. Thanks Jeff.

PLEASE don't eat them until you check with your extension service and make sure it's not one of the poisonous varieties!

Well, according to one website for baby names:

Meaning and origin of Caca

Ethnic Origin:

Daughter of Vukan.

Popularity Ranking:
This name is not ranked in the top 1000 most popular names for the years 1990 through 2003.

Expression Number 8: People with this name are competent, practical, and often obtain great power and wealth. They tend to be successful in business and commercial affairs, and are able to achieve great material dreams. Because they often focus so strongly on business and achievement, they may neglect their private lives and relationships.
