Russian squash......

groallOctober 28, 2010

I had a lady from Russia buy some squash from me...she liked the Kabocha orange but she said when she first drove in she thought the pumpkins were a kind of squash she bought in Russia which she really liked because it was very sweet tasting.....she didn't know a name for the squash (pumpkin maybe), just the general word for squash...TblKBA...does any one know what kind of "squash" she might be talking about...I asked if she could get any seed and she said, they couldn't send seeds from Russia

Rouge Vif d'Etampes (AKA Cinderella) is commonly grown in Russia and looks similar to an orange Kabocha.
