Creeping Thyme Maturity

SunnyPlanterJune 10, 2013

Hello, I've planted some creeping thyme in my 5x32' perennial garden, as a ground cover over the past couple of weeks. I think I had 17 plants all probably 6-10" around. The tag says that it can reach 18-30". Obviously, I have other plants in my garden, I'm just curious how long it takes for the thyme to reach its full size/maturity.

When I planted mine last year it didn't do well and all but about 15% died off. I left it in the ground hoping it would make it and IT DID! It went from being a few 3 inch strands to now being a mat of about 12" diameter. If yours does anything like mine, it wont take more than another year or two
