New foundation plants...fighting the urge to 'fill in'!!

chloe92us(10A Sarasota area)June 4, 2012

I like the lush full cottage look, and had a blank slate at the front of the house and planted this weekend. I used firecracker plants, gold mound duranta, Texas sage, muhly grass, a crape myrtle, a jatropha bush, and several agapanthus.

They are all so small and I can't stand the "new baby plants" look and am fighting the urge to fill in the blank spaces with more plants. I need a pep talk!!!!

How long before everything will begin to look full? Should I add some annuals to pacify me until they fill in?

Anyone have experience with Texas sage? Some sites say slow or fast grower, so which is it?

I pack them in and remove/move when I need to!
