Blooming plants for winter

amyta(z8 mid GA)November 6, 2012

What can I plant instead of pansies that will grow in partial shade? I do pansies every year and they get too leggy while the ones in full sun do great. I would like something that would do well in a planter made from a deep pedestal bird bath.

Snapdragons, I believe, are an increasingly popular substitute for pansies.
