Plants rotting - gaillardia, etc.

mudsnake(8B)August 25, 2008

Does anyone have problems with perennials such as Blanket Flower (Gaillardia) rotting in the humid summers of the Gulf coast? Tropical storm Fay seems to have made things worse.

Hi mudsnake
My gaillardia get a quite raggedy at this time every year but they keep flowering if I dead head them and the bees and butterflies love em AND they go 9 mos for me so...Im keeping them.
