I live in zone 5b=6 and want to get more Helleborus and wonder when I can plant them or types
Now, when blooming is a good time to buy, gives you the opportunity to pick out colors and forms that appeal to you. Plant as soon as your ground is workable in Spring - you will have to water this first year.
Another good time to plant is Fall - hellebores put out a flush of root growth when weather begins to cool in Fall, works out well for establishing before winter sets in, so don't hesitate to plant, divide, or move them in Fall.
thanks so much for the information
looking forward to adding to my collection
Thanks I hope to find some at my local nurseries, shipping is so high
