Does anybody know quickly beautybush (not beautyberry) takes to reach maturity. It is so lovely and I want some behind my house, but since I only expect to be there a couple more years I'm not sure if I should bother planting it here. I would be starting with a gallon pot sized plant.

Since you're in NC, you might want to post your question on the Carolina Gardeners section to see if anyone has it growing in their yard
