sepals or bracts

toad_ca(z7b Bellingham, WA)December 30, 2011

Sorry for the basic question, but are the colored, petal-like parts of a Hellebore sepals or bracts? I've been searching the Internet and found both mentioned, and Fine Gardening has both within the same entry!

Thanks!

The petal-like parts are sepals.
