Oops. I think my 'Heuchera - Georgia Peach' is scorched

MARKCEAugust 5, 2012

I am new to gardening, and Heuchera. A year ago, I planted my Heuchera Georgia Peach in the front of my house - in full sun. It did well, survived the winter, and looked great earlier this summer.

However, its now looking pretty crispy. See the photo.

I've watered it several times, but I don't think its enjoying the full sun (for the majority of the day).

I think I should move it to a shadier area, maybe later this summer, or early Fall? I'm in the north east US.

Yes, it looks unhappy with the full sun

Does look a bit crispy. I would move it when you know things are beginning to cool down a little, but you don't want to wait too long. You want the plant to establish itself before winter. Give it plenty of water but don't keep it wet, it should grow some new leaves to replace the crispy ones.
