Seedless Meyer Lemon

roses_more_roses(Z9 N CA)March 26, 2011

My friend gave me a Hugh bag of lemons to make Marmalade. They are round and thin skinned. I tasted a small piece and it was as sweet or sweeter than any Meyer that I have tasted. When I peeled away the skin it smelled like a Meyer lemon. Inside they are just slightly green. they are also very juicy, I am so surprised that I have cut up dozens and not one seed. So I am wondering what this might be, since I used google and didn't find anything for seedless Meyer.

Any chance it isn't a Meyer? There are several varieties of seedless or few seed lemons. Armstrong is one I can think of.

I suspected that they were another variety, and they turned out to be Pomona Sweet. They smell just like Meyer, but are even sweeter.
