Moscheutos Hibiscus shape

jalfred(z7 MS)April 23, 2005

Does a Moscheutos Hibiscus want to be a tree or a shrub? Which is the best shape? Also, can someone identify the bloom which is is 9 to 10 inches across and deep red. Single.

Thank you,

Jackie Davidson, zone 7

H. moscheutos and it's many varieties are all herbaceous perrenials. While some of them get quite tall, they never really form woody stems and resprout from the base of the plant each Spring.
