nucci60(6 Ma.)June 25, 2006

I bought 10 hardy hibiscus from cottage farm,(yeah, I know, but i bought 20 daylillies from them and their beautiful). the hibiscus has beeb in the ground since may 20, and nothing is happening. they are very pliable and i sacrificed one, pulled it out of the ground and scraped it. It is green under the bark. what do you think?

If they are still green I wouldn't be too concerned. They are very slow to emerge from the ground and then I swear they grow and foot or two a night. If the roots are still intact with your sacrificed one you can probably stick it back in the ground and it will grow.

The first time you plant them, they are the slowest things on earth! They are probably just setting roots. Next year they will be out by early June.
