Mrs. Wages cold pickling okra - water preference?
I live over at the Florida Gardening forum but need your help with this question. I can't grow much in the way of veggies during the summer in my little coastal Zone 10 hot/humid microclimate, but I can grow okra :-) I want to do some cold-pickling using Mrs. Wages K-dill frig mix. My city tap water (table at bottom of link) is rather hard and does contain chloramines and other junk, so my question for those of you with experience with this mix is, what is your preference for water and why?
Boil/set for 24hrs?
